Went racin' again last night and was able to launch not one but two failed breakaway attempts! Someone's starting to get in shape. Tee hee.
Average wattage for the hour race was a new record too- 250 watts.

Can a guy who's built for comfort become built for speed?
After years of being described at "pretty fast for a fat guy" I've decided to go all Dr. Phil on myself in an attempt to lose 30-40lbs in an experiment just to see how much faster I could be on the bike. Just once I'd like to see what happens if I followed the advice of my report cards and "worked up to my potential."
If I don't like the results, the good news is I love to eat so reverting back to my doughy ways won't be a problem.
